NDA CRMSetting up cash on delivery on Shopify properly
Shopify supports COD as a manual payment method. Running it well needs four more things it does not do by itself.
1. The gateway
Settings → Payments → Manual → Cash on Delivery. Name it so it contains “COD” or “cash”; downstream tools detect it from the name.
2. The fee
Add the COD fee as a shipping rate or with a form app. Keep it visible in the total.
3. Confirmation
Every COD order needs a call or WhatsApp before packing. Tag confirmed orders so your team and Shopify Flow agree.
4. Tracking on the fulfilment
Always set tracking number and tracking company on the fulfilment. That is how tracking tools know which courier to ask.
5. Reconcile
Shopify marks the order paid when you say so. Only a parcel-level reconciliation against the courier payout tells you if it was. NDA CRM for Shopify.
