WhatsApp confirms cheaper than a call and faster than email — if the template asks one question and the fallback is automatic.
The template
Name, order number, product, total, and one question: “Reply 1 to confirm, 2 to change the address.” Buttons work better than free text.
Timing
Within 15 minutes of the order. Reply rates halve after two hours.
Fallback
No reply in 60 minutes → the order enters the call queue. Reply 2 → the agent sees the change request on the order.
Meta rules
Templates must be approved; utility templates (order updates) are cheaper than marketing ones. Keep confirmation as a utility template.
Measuring
Confirmation rate by channel, per day. Most stores land at 55–70% by WhatsApp, the rest by phone. See the automation module.
